Phone calls

The honest version: Beverly does not answer your phone, and outbound calling is built but not switched on for customer accounts.

In testingBuilt, and running in our own testing environment. It is switched off for customer accounts, so you cannot use it yet. Nothing on this page that makes a phone ring is available to you. Outbound calling to a lead is built and switched off, and switching it on takes both a setting only we can change and a switch on your own account. The three newer calling pieces, offering a lead a call back from you, handing a live call to a person, and calling the title company on a file, are built and switched off in every environment including ours. Answering an inbound call has never been built. The one phone capability that is live today is reviewing a recording you already have, and it is under Coaching.

This page exists because it is the question people ask first and the one an AI product is most tempted to fudge. So, plainly:

Where the phone actually stands
Can Beverly do this?Answer
Call a lead out loud, in a real voiceBuilt, and not switched on for customer accounts. Three separate things have to be true before a call can be placed, and one of them is a switch on your own account that starts off. When it is on there are rules around it: daytime in the lead's own timezone, no Sundays, never someone who opted out or replied recently, a gap from any text, and never somebody whose record does not show they agreed to be called.
Answer your incoming callsNo. This has never been built, and we would rather say that than call it coming soon.
Ask if you can call a lead back, and put it on your team's phonesBuilt, and switched off in every environment including ours. There is no screen where you or we can turn it on, so nobody has it.
Hand a live call to a person while the lead is still on the lineBuilt, and switched off in every environment. Nothing is attached to a call today.
Call the title company or the escrow officer about a fileBuilt, and switched off in every environment including ours, so nobody can use it. When it is on, a person approves each call before it dials, Beverly works a fixed list of questions rather than improvising, and refuses anything touching money movement, contract terms, repairs, price or legal interpretation.
Take a voicemail and turn it into a leadNo.
Text you an address and get a valuation backNo. That existed once and does not any more. Ask Beverly in the conversation instead.
Review a call you recorded and coach you on itYes, and that one is live today. It is under Coaching.
Talk to Beverly out loud yourselfYes, live today on the website. That is a conversation with your own coach rather than a call to anybody, and it has an allowance rather than being uncapped.
Why calling is gated and texting is notA call costs money and rings a real person. A bug in a texting system sends a bad message. A bug in a calling system phones somebody at dinner. So it stays off until a specific account has agreed to turn it on, and Beverly's own answer about whether calling is possible is read from that switch rather than memorised, so it cannot go stale.
Built and off is not the same as coming soonFour of the rows above say built and switched off. That is a real state and it is worth reading literally: the code exists, it has been run against real calls in our own testing, and there is no way for you to reach it. We list those rows rather than leaving them off the page because you should be able to see the shape of what is close, and we do not put a date on any of them.
